Ferry Locks Demo: Rules, Odds, and Wallet Guide

Game Mechanics and Survival Odds

Before starting, you must choose your target exit lock, which determines the difficulty and potential payout. The game presents successive survival challenges with probabilities of 80%, 75%, two-thirds, and 50% for locks one through four respectively. If you fail at any stage, the round ends immediately with a zero return. There is no option to exit manually during the round; you must either survive to your chosen exit or fail along the way. The score function calculates survival at exits as 0.8, 0.6, 0.4, and 0.2, which when multiplied by gross returns of 1.2, 1.6, 2.4, and 4.8, yields an expected return of 0.96.

Stakes, Payouts, and Settlement

Available stakes are 10, 25, 50, and 100 virtual coins, with 25 as the default. The stake is deducted once at the start of the round and persists even if you do not finish. Gross returns include your original stake and differ from net profit. Payouts are computed in hundredths, with any fractional carry kept separately while whole coins are credited. Automatic settlement occurs at your chosen exit or the end of the reveal. Simulation data from one million rounds shows an expected RTP of 96%, with simulated results ranging between 95.8% and 96.04%.

Wallet, Controls, and Reload Behavior

The demo begins with an initial balance of 1000 virtual coins. A manual refill is available only when the balance drops below 10, setting the balance to 1000 rather than adding to it. Controls for stake, start, and mode are disabled while a round is active. Reloading the page discards any unfinished round without refund or resumption. The wallet state, including whole coins and fractional hundredths, is stored in localStorage. No account is required to play, and the virtual coins have no cash value or cashier functionality.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I reload the page during a round?

Reloading discards the unfinished round without refund. Your initial stake remains deducted, and the round does not resume upon return.

How is the wallet balance restored?

Manual restoration is available only when the balance falls below 10. It sets the balance to 1000 coins rather than adding that amount to the current balance.
